BUsiness Process button on toolbar not working in Laserfiche client

We have in place several Business Processes that users can start. They can start these by right clicking and using the menu option "Start Business Process..." without issues.

Standard, during install, we also create buttons on the toolbar for the users for these Business Processes so that they can do these actions faster. But the buttons no longer work although the PB's are fully functional. Strange enough, they still function on my own client.

Is there some sort of setting that I am missing that could have disabled custom buttons in the Client? I know the other day some of my own (and a handful of other users) settings miraculously changed where searching for shortcuts was no longer activated in the client, so I wonder if some type of windows update could have something to do with this? 

Anyone know how I can make the custom buttons actually function again?

I think we found the answer. Custom buttons do not seem to work if the user is not a local admin on their machine. For security reasons we are removing users as local admins on all machines within our organization. Business Processes can be started, but not with custom buttons. We are working on finding a way around this with some tools we are utilizing.

Custom buttons should not require admin rights. Please open a support case so we can troubleshoot this. Laserfiche client tracing and process monitor tracing should help narrow down the problem

We have already opened a support case through MCCI with Laserfiche. I was just hoping someone else encountered this and had a solution. The only thing in common between the users that have non functioning buttons is that they are no longer admins on their own machine. So all of our users that we are getting new machines in for. There are only 2 that are admins on their own machine (and IT at the moment) and they are not having issues.

What version of the Laserfiche Windows Client is this?
