Forms-Groups for Submitter Role added to Forms Process unable to start Process

Hello,

We have a customer who has AD Groups Synced in Forms.  When the Process Admin tries to add these Groups as Submitters to a Forms Process, the users in this Group are unable to start the Process.

If the users are added individually as Submitters they are able to start the process.

Customer is LF United so I am posting here to see if this a limitation with United, as this is not being done through LFDS.

Thanks Ziyan,

We resolved the issue by doing the following:

  1. Remove the AD Groups
  2. Restart the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service
  3. Recycle the Forms AppPool
  4. Add one of the AD Groups back in and see if the process works

Which version of Forms is being used? Does it happen to all AD groups?

Hello Ziyan,

Customer is on Version 10.4.1.164

It happens to any AD group that they have added.

Just to check, the type of LF (United) they are on does not matter correct?

Yes, united license should not affect the access right inheritance in Forms

Customer is on Forms 10.4.1.164.

Do you know if this could be a bug that was fixed in later releases of Forms 10.4.x?

And it does happen to all AD Security Groups

Hi Jeff,

I didn't find any access right bug with AD group and LFS in Forms 10.4.1. So I am not sure whether update to later releases of Forms 10.4.x will address this
