Question

Web Client-No usable certificates found

asked on March 25, 2021

Hello,

I am trying to add a signature to a document in the Web Client (10.4.2.347) and when I click on Select to select the Certificate I am getting this message: "No usable certificates found.  To import a certificate, use the Certificate Manager or contact your system admin"

I confirmed that I have added a valid certificate via the LF Admin Console->Metadata Management->Digital Signature Certificate Store

I have tried with the Option->Advanced->Digital Signature checked for Enforce NSA Suite B compliance and not checked, same results.

Am I missing something else??

Appreciate the Feedback,

Jeff Curtis

The certificate list reads from your windows account's local certificate store.  Leave NSA Suite B unchecked. Verify that you have a certificate with a private key in certmgr.msc:

Hello Robert,

My Apologies, as I should have stated that as well yesterday, that I did check that and my Cert has a private key.

For testing, this is a self-signed cert. Does that matter?

Self-signed certificates should be ok. Other ideas:

- Check the system event log for any errors related to certificates.

- What is the "Signature Algorithm" property under Details?

- Double check that NSA suite B is not enabled, we have had customers accidentally enable this in the past without realizing it.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for the follow up.

1. Checked System Logs and nothing correlates.  Same with Web Client Performance or Server logs

2.  "signature Algorithm" is sha256RSA

3. NSA Suite B is not enabled

I can't explain why the certificate is not being shown. Please open a support case so we can troubleshoot further.

Thanks Robert

Opening a case now.

Will update this thread when a resolution is found.

Hello Robert.,

So for some reason after I cleared cache in Chrome for another issue, I was able to load the Signature in my document.

Thanks again for the information,

Jeff Curtis
