Forms Error: unable to send email please ensure your email address is entered correctly

asked on March 25, 2021

We just moved to Office 365 email and our Forms processes' instances are all suspending on email tasks in which there is more than one email address specified. I tried changing it to send to one email address and another in the cc or bcc fields, but it still suspends. As soon as I remove all but one email address, the process continues.

The message in event viewer says "Unable to send email to <name@domain.org>". Please ensure your email address is entered correctly. [LFF2001-EmailSubmissionTypo]". How can I fix this issue?

No. The email addresses are correct. However, the error message has the email addresses enclosed in brackets (<email@address.org>). Whenever I try to add an address back (doesn't matter what the address is), the email task fails. I'm using tokens to add the email addresses in most cases, though I've tried hardcoding them too.

Could you share full error message from event viewer?

Hi Sheila,

When the process continues with 1 email address, is the email address same as the one reported in error message from event viewer?

I think it is likely that 1 of removed email address is causing the problem.

Did you get a resolution on this issue?  I have 1 email account in my organization that causes the EmailSubmissionTypo error and suspends the form at the email notification step.  I can email the recipient outside of forms but, forms will NOT email that account.  please help.

No. I just removed all but one address to make sure our processes were continuing. I know the email addresses that were originally in the email tasks were correct, so I'm not sure why we had that issue. I'll go back when I have time and try to figure it out.
