Question

Save as Draft: No Authority Contact Admin

asked on March 24, 2021

We have one forms process that has given several users issues when they are attempting to save a form to draft that they have access to.

We have a LF group setup called "LF Supervisors" that has access to this particular form as a submitter. In the Laserfiche Forms Administration section under System Security, the "LF Supervisors" Group is set as a basic user.

They are able to start this from from the start process section and submit it. But anytime they select "save as draft" they receive the error message: No Authority Contact Admin - LF-10 and all of their work is lost because this did not create an instance.

Has anyone else experience this issue before?

We are on Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.3.1.690

The type of users are Forms authenticated participant

They are added directly into a Laserfiche Group Directly called Laserfiche Supervisors

this is not an AD group

Hi Haylee,

I search the error message and see some cases that people encountered same issue on Forms 10.3.1.690. The symptom is user's cookie is expired somehow after log in for a period of time, and regarded as no right when action. Could you confirm whether the issue always happen when on saving draft or intermittently after a while?

If it happens after a while, I suspect it is same root cause. Dev team has confirmed that this issue only happens in 10.3.1.690 and above 10.3.1 version, not happen in later versions(like 10.4.0). Is it possible for you to upgrade Forms to latest version?

Forms has also introduced new feature to recover form data when error happens, it will help when user encounter error when fill form/save draft.

Hi Haylee,

What type of users are having this issue? Are they added to the LF group directly?

Also, can you share the full error in event log? It is weird that users can submit while cannot save draft.

Regards,

Ziyan

The only type of users this is happening on are Authenticated Forms Participants

They are all added to a LF group called "LF Supervisors"
