Question

Stopping/Deleting Instance

asked on March 22, 2021

I made changes to a forms process and added a loop where it will resend the customer and email what payment has not been received, I set the timed loop to happen ever minute to be able to allow for the department to see the process before making it live. I showed the process then was making the changes needed to have the form go live. Instead that evening I found I had 11,000 emails that had been sent to me because it didn't continue on thru the process. Forms wouldn't allow me to stop, or interrupt this test to get the emails to stop. I finally was able to make a change to the process that allowed it to stop sending duplicate emails & creating duplicate user tasks, But now I have 11,000 user tasks that is bogging down my system and it wont allow me to stop the instance and delete it.

I am not sure if there is a way on the back end to try and do this. I cant put the form live because the user has so many tasks that the system freezes when she is trying to access it.

If anyone has any great ideas I am willing to try anything at this point.

Can you open a support case through you VAR? We should be able to write you a query to clean some of this up.

I did speak with my VAR last week and they opened a ticket on Thursday. I still haven't heard anything yet, and was just trying to determine if there were any other options out there for me. With it bogging down my whole system its causing a lot of issues for other forms and me being able to launch the form that had the issues.

If you can, copy/download the process first, then try to delete it. Deleting the process will clean up all those tasks and then you can import or use the copy to move forward.

This was one of my first thoughts days ago. I made a copy of the form before starting, because this was a pre existing form. When I made the changes I accidently made them on the original so if I delete the form it will delete all my old data from the last three years.
