One of my variables is a Singe Line and it is removed from the instance name list options. What is the filter on this in cloud?
Chad, have you saved and published your process with the new variables? The instance name and summary details can only include variables in the currently published version. If you added a variable and saved a draft (but not yet published), that variable wouldn't show up there. You need to publish the latest draft then update the instance name to include it.
I don't know about Cloud specifically, because I'm on-prem. But I've noticed that often when a field was just added, I need to leave the Layout page, and then return to the Layout page once or sometimes twice, before that new field shows up in any variable pickers. Just some sort of funny quirk with the order that new things are loaded. Is that possibly the case here?
That just sounds like a visual glitch, should not affect cloud otherwise everyone would be reporting issues. I have gone to many screens to get these screenshots. Cloud is filtering out access to specific variables and I don't know what the condition is.
I only suggested it because it is the only time I've ever seen any of the variables not showing in the pickers.
I just tested it, added a new field to a form and went immediately to "Process Options" and tried to add it to the "Instance Name" and the new field was not in the picker at all. I went back to the form's Layout page for 2 seconds, and then back to "Process Options" and now it is in the picker.
I freely admit that it could be different on later versions than I am on (10.2), or on Cloud - but I've seen it a bunch of times in my environment.
Yea this is an issue only with Cloud. I guess I need to take it on the webinar.
