Sharepoint to Laserfiche Migration query

Hi there,

We've recently came across a requirement from a customer to move documents across from Sharepoint to Laserfiche.

I understand the integration would allow me to look at the documents from sharepoint in Laserfiche but we're looking at full on migrating them alongside the meta data.

Is there any default functionality from the integration or anything built that anyone has used before that they would recommend for this?

We are undertaking a similar project and what we've tested so far is exporting the library from SharePoint to a file share then use Import Agent to put the files in Laserfiche. We'd then use workflow and Quick Fields to extract metadata from the file names and document classes.

We don't have any metadata in our SharePoint library so I don't have an idea on how to export that and use it unless you can somehow import it via Import Agent as well.

Cheers - I think we'll probably have to do something similar.

I see there is an export to excel feature for what looks to be metadata in a sharepoint library, it's likely we'll try export all the metadata for sharepoint into an excel then use Workflow to grab that and line them up with the documents being brought in with Import Agent.

Life would be easier if we could just use what's in the file names for sure.

Hey Alex, I have a similar project where I need to migrate records with metadata from O365 SharePoint to On Prem Laserfiche. How did you fare with your project?

The only part of the SharePoint Integration that deals with moving data between the systems is the Records Center piece. However, the "Send To" functionality that it hooks into in SharePoint can only be triggered manually, so it's not suited to a large migration.

Hello, We have a client who wishes to migrate information from SharePoint to Laserfiche. Currently, they have over 5 terabytes of information to migrate, and I would like to know if, based on your experiences, you have found a more effective solution than downloading the information for import by the Import Agent?
