Question

Inverted and mirrored PDF pages in Laserfiche

asked on March 4, 2021 Show version history

A few PDF documents are appearing as flipped images after it is uploaded into Laserfiche. The PDF looks fine in our Shared drive, prior to uploading. Some pages are appearing upside down and mirrored once it is in the Laserfiche environment.

I tried restricting editing while using Adobe, then re-saving it in another file name before reloading it onto the same pathway, but all the same, it comes out as a flipped (mirror) image of the documents.

Help?

Hey Robert,

I had a customer contact me today about this. They're on LFS 10.3.x. With this particular bug, is upgrading the server software all that needs done or does the client software need upgraded to 11 as well?

Thanks!

Page generation is done client-side, so you would need to also upgrade the Windows and web clients along with the Laserfiche server.

Robert, I have a client that is experiencing this issue on version 10.4. Our hope is to not have to upgrade just yet and that a bug fix will be released for this version?

We do not plan to patch this issue into 10.4 at this time.

Opened a chat with Laserfiche today and they said:
"So I don't see it mentioned in the release notes but the bug ticket does mention that it was resolved as of 11.0.2102.183

So upgrading to the latest version 11 would include this fix."

I see this occurring in Laserfiche Cloud as well.  Will there be a bug fix applied for those clients as well?  Thanks!

Please open a support case and attach  a sample document. The issue described in this thread has been fixed in cloud a while back.
