Platform: Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 2008 and Windows 2008R2
Customers affected: Self-hosted and Laserfiche Cloud
End of support: Effective immediately
Today, March 3rd, 2021, Laserfiche announces an end to troubleshooting support for Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2008/2008R2 running Laserfiche software due to a lack of extended support for these operating systems from their manufacturer. Windows 8.1 will continue to be supported at this time.
This policy change will continue to be applied moving forward, meaning that when the manufacturer ends extended support for a particular operating system, we will end support for Laserfiche software on that operating system.
We encourage all customers to consider moving to newer operating systems to avoid any unsupported security vulnerabilities associated with these older operating systems.
For customers who have a contract in place with the manufacturer for the extended security update program for operating systems that are out of extended support, Laserfiche will evaluate what’s needed to continue to support your deployment and provide you with a custom quote.
We’re making this decision to provide a better experience to customers. For more information about the Laserfiche End-of-Life Policy, visit the Product Announcements Group.
