Hello Carl.  Probably!

There are many ways to integrate applications using Laserfiche.  I am a fan of codeless integrations using Laserfiche Connector.

What do you need your integration to do?

Hey Franz, thx for the feedback...I have a prospective client (aviation) where the adoption or automation of manual processes could be hugely beneficial. They currently work with SAM Aviation Maintenance Software (many aviation clients do) a feature-rich solution that enables highly optimized, flexible and cost effective procedures impacting positively on CAMO operators as well as Civil Aviation Auth Part-145 MRO providers on the global market. The integration of LF and SAM is naturally integral to this being successful.

My thought is to drag data into the repository be able to update and route, archive and retrieve this data to ensure up to date information is available on all aircraft. In this way all aircraft documentation is current, ISO compliant and available for scrutiny by aviation authorities.

I see, so maintain a single "source of truth" in Laserfiche (apply retention, records management, obsolete items) and could be independantly updated (outside of SAM).  These records should be accessible by SAM users.

Thinking Connector still since it looks like SAM is Windows based (I could be wrong!).  If it is web based, perhaps the new Laserfiche API?

Carl

While I generally agree with Franz, it seems to me in this case a tighter integration via SQL might offer greater long term benefits.  STG also developed a codeless product called UnIT a few years back which is pretty comprehensive and similar to connector.  bob.mccoy@stgp.com or 256 603-7398 if you'd like to discuss further.  Thanks

Lots of options!  That's one of the great things about the Laserfiche community.
