Shouldn't a "Common" search, using "Within Folder", find the target even if the item in the folder is just a shortcut?

I am absolutely positive this used to work, but suddenly it is not, and it seems intermittent!

This clip shows that if you don't use the Within Folder, the original documents (in Record Series now) can be found, and I added a column showing the "Original File Path" which is where the shortcuts were left behind, so I KNOW that the Within Folder option SHOULD have found the shortcuts!
