Forms accessible to blind folks

asked on February 5, 2021

Does anyone have tips to make their forms more accessible to blind folks?  I do not have a license for the JAWS reader but I have used Windows Narrator on my one form and was surprised how poorly it reads the form. Narrator does not read any Section titles or any field labels.  It does read tool tips though.  I am curious if JAWS does a better job reading LF Forms.  If not, this would be a huge problem for blind folks.

What version of Forms are you using? We have tested the form filling experience using JAWS, NVDA and lightly with ChromeVox and you can definitely hear field labels and input information.

We are running Forms 10.3.1.690.  I will test our form with the tools you mentioned.

Thanks.

I have installed NVDA and ChromeVox.  The form does not respond as I would expect.  I have no experience with screen readers so what I expect to happen may be flawed.  Are you willing to take a look at my form and run it through a reader?  I am curios to hear of your experience with my form.

Please open up a support case through your Solution Provider so we can get all the details included your form + process XML and what you intend for the screen reader to say.
