I got an error uploading to the cloud.
Can someone tell me the size restrictions of uploading a briefcase?
Thank you,
Update: We did raise the limit at one point last year to 20 GB, and there is no longer a limit as of the 2022.3 release that went out last week.
Hello,
When I have tried uploading briefcases over the 1 GB limit this is the error message I receive:
Error: There was an error decompressing the briefcase. The briefcase file may be corrupt, the disk may be out of space, or another I/O error occurred. [9265]
Sharing this error here so others can find this thread and save themselves some time in the future.
The current limit is 1GB, though we do plan on increasing that shortly. Can I ask how big yours are? Is this part of a migration to cloud, or do you have another use case for multi-GB briefcases?
Hello Brian,
If someone has a briefcase larger than 1 gb is the only option to use the Installed client? Can we open a case with LF Support to temporarily disable this so 1gb+ briefcases can be uploaded through Web Access?
Regards,
I have a case open with Laserfiche regarding this issue (error we hit posted in another message in this thread), Case ID: 218446. They did not make me aware of the 1GB limit just let me know that their development department would be investigating the issue.
In that thread they did advise that "In the meantime we can import the briefcase into the customer cloud account through scripts". So at least there seems to be an alternative method Laserfiche is able to utilize.
Hi Nathan,
If you upload your briefcase to your Cloud account using the desktop app (connected to your cloud repository) there is no limit. I have currently migrated clients with20-30GB briefcases, without issue.
I have another client with 300GB. Just working out the best way to approach this.
