Update Word Document Activity

I have an Update Word Document Activity in my workflow.  I have it set to strip my merge codes:

However, it does not strip all codes, specifically my IF and INSERT codes.  (I am inserting different paragraphs).  Is there a way to accomplish this in either the word template or the workflow?  If we edit the final document and change (and save) anything in INSERT paragraphs area, it reverts back to the original when we send it to DocuSign.  

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Removing fields refers to mail merge fields. If your merge field is part of an IF setup, you'd want to also check "remove containing fields". I'm not seeing any IF or INSERT code in the attached document, though.
