Question

Question

Cant access web configuration.

asked on January 10, 2021

Going to the web configuration page I am prompted for credentials. We have spent hours trying to chase down the issue. All permissions are set properly. All the issues started after a hard drive failure and migration to a new server. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas...

You'll also need to make sure that the user is in the correct permission group in the Local Users and Groups console (lusrmgr.msc). I don't have it installed locally to tell you exactly, but there should be a group called Laserfiche Web Access Administrators or something similar. Add the user to that group then try signing in. I believe that anyone in the server's local admin group will have permission to sign into the web access configuration console as well.

Hi

This is normal behavior when attempting to access a config page on a migration/new installation.

These are the credentials you used either on your new server or what you setup during installation/migration.

For example my-hosting\administrator and your password, you could also try .\administrator.

Note: "administrator" is just an example, the user account reflects what you used in your environment.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Unfortunately no resolution.

I forgot to mention that no credentials will work at all. No user accounts on the server, or Laserfiche credentials will work.

I have since come across this error in IIS.  I don know if there is some sort of requirement to have a .net user here.Dont know if this is the issue.
