Update Word Document Date Time Format

asked on December 31, 2020

I'm using "Update Word Document". I'm retrieving this date from Forms which is just a date field (no time). As you can see, the only Type option I have is Date Time:

This causes the following in my PDF output:

How can I get rid of the time? I only want the date.

Is it possibly set to display as date time on the Word document template?

Maybe try setting it to Default or String and applying a date format to the source value via the token editor instead?

MM/dd/yyyy is what I usually use to include leading zeros on single-digit months, but

M/d/yyyy would give you more like your screenshot without the time component.

Setting the type to String worked beautifully. Thank you!

Thanks, tried Default and String. My source value is already set to MM/dd/yyyy. It didn't work. (initially thought it worked, but I was looking at the saved LF pages by mistake and not the PDF output created by Update Word Document.)

Still looking for ideas on this issue.

So I had originally look at that within the file and found nothing. Your suggestion today made me research deeper, and I found this article that allowed me to manually change the merge field and it worked! Thanks for sticking with me and making me search deeper.
