Problem with Chrome and Connector

asked on December 18, 2020

I have configured a profile to work with a submit form in IE and everything works as expected.  I have tried adding Chrome with issues.  I have run the Chrome Configuration Utility and am able to to get the URL using UI will not work with Java.  When I try to create a token it will not focus on the target area.  It grabs all text for the entire page.

Hi John,

Before you run the configuration utility, please close all Chrome tabs, and make sure no Chrome.exe is running in the task manager. Then run the utility as administrator (following step 2 to 4 in KB 101456). If you have never changed LFC.exe.config file, the utility should configure the ability to use Javascript. Please try to use Javascript to analyze applications and capture tokens again.

If it still does not work, please follow the below online help file, to configure UI Automation manually: Configure the --force-renderer-accessibility parameter to run when chrome.exe starts.

Online help file:

Have you tried to configure UI Automation manually? The utility is designed for using the Javascript method, and cannot configure to use UIAutomation correctly, that's why "it will not focus on the target area. It grabs all text for the entire page." when you use UI Automation. Therefore, please configure the --force-renderer-accessibility parameter following the online help file, and then try to analyze application by UIAutomation.

If you'd like to use the Javascript method, I'd recommend you to create a support case, and attach the screenshot of error message, the profile and log files to the case.

Have you tried to configure Chrome following my comments on December 20, 2020? How did you configure Chrome? What method are you using to analyze elements?
