I am using the new email archive feature with imap. It is working great but I cannot figure out how to save the pictures or emails that are inside the email message. It processes the email and stores it in the cloud but the email displayed is a simple text file. Attachments are handled fine and I have tried various settings as well as changes the mailbox setting being monitored to automatically download pictures. Any thoughts on what to try next?

Images/Pictures in emails
Answer
Hi Bill,
Glad to hear the new Email Archive IMAP capture is working great for you!
When you say "the email displayed is a simple text file", are you referring to the Preview pane view for .eml/.msg files that shows the text within? If you download an email file you know should have embedded pictures locally and open it with Outlook (etc.) do the pictures appear? I'm trying to determine if the Web Client email viewer is simply not showing them or if they are actually getting stripped from the file itself.
Yes, That is exactly what I am describing so as I face palm I want to thank you for reminding me that it is an EML file and that to view the original I need to open it up in the email client. (I completely forgot about that!) That will work it was just disconcerting for the users who had mostly blank previews. Thanks again and this addresses the issue until the viewer can process the emls more "email like".
