I can't find this error in the knowledgebase but we received this error.

It just stated this in the event viewer and essentially told the public the same in the browser.

An error occurred while retrieving your form. Please try resubmitting your request later.

Sure enough, after about 30 minutes, it was ready to go again.

No other errors in the operational or admin log besides this, seems the service just wanted us to wait a bit, but not sure why or how we can prevent this from happening again.

Usually when we receive these specific error codes it is a reference to an article to explain the situation.

Hi Chad,

The error message is for public and it is general and intended to avoid to reveal too much details. If the issue can be reproduce, you can try open same form with authenticated user to see detailed error.

 

Will it help if the detailed error still log in event log?

Oh if we could get the details in the event log entry that would be the only way. I can't reproduce now that the system has come back online.

We would just like to know why forms shut itself down for about a half an hour yesterday so we can improve on whatever resource it was missing.

OK, I will file an internal bug to see whether we can enhance the error log.

We have added detail log in event log in Forms 11.
