Weblink: Users getting Access Denied 9013 error

asked on December 9, 2020

Hello,

Customer is experiencing the following issue:

Our production WebLink instance has begun to intermittently deny access.  Users sometimes get a 9013 Access Denied error when accessing any one of several instances.  This appears to only affect Weblink and only the instances configured for Auto Login to Windows.

They are licensed for the Public Portal for Single CPU Server, so I believe if users have multiple tabs open for different instances, they could be hitting their limit of 25 users connections correct and this would be the reason for the error?

Appreciate any feedback,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

To the best of my recollection, WebLink throws a 9030 LFS error when a user who does not have a named license tries to log in and all Public Portal sessions are in use. 9013 should only be for an actual permission error. @████████do you recall?

You can monitor how many Public Portal sessions are in use through a built-in LFS performance counter in Windows Performance Monitor. LFS:Licensing -> Public Portal Licenses. Keep that counter running and see if the 9013 errors occur when it hits or nears 25.

Last I checked, each different browser you have Web Client open in has its own session, but multiple tabs within the same browser do not. Possible but unlikely that WebLink is different.

That's correct. You might also get a permission denied if the Windows user is not trusted for login to that repository.

Thanks Samuel and Miruna- I have sent your information off to the customer to check.

They stated that they did not have the issue arise today.
