Error when attempting to terminate workflow instance

asked on December 8, 2020

A workflow instance is currently in "Waiting" status because of a lengthy Delay activity. If I attempt to End Workflow (using either Terminate or Complete) from the Search Results context menu, I get the following error:

Workflow Designer Version 10.4.2.246

The properties of the server executable or the Loaded Assemblies node in the WF Admin Console will tell you. But the version of the Admin Console on the server machine is good enough since it gets installed and upgraded with the server.

So the server is 10.4.1 while the Designer is 10.4.2. Use a Designer with the same version or upgrade the Workflow server.

Is the Workflow server a lower version than the Designer?

The Workflow Administration Console on the Workflow server is 10.4.1.223. I haven't found anywhere else to tell what the actual Workflow server is running.
