Hash Alogorithm Value Change When Imported to Laserfiche

When documents are imported to Laserfiche, does the document retain the hash value or does it change?  The documents are not modified, just copied to Laserfiche.  Referring to algorithms such as MD5 and SHA1 for the hash.

Images may have their format standardized to tiff-jpeg, but non-image documents will be imported without modification. Hash values should not be affected.

At any time is there a hash applied to the documents in the repository, e.g. MD5?
