Hi,

Is there a global attribute for everyone or a way we can within the config file point to a default folder when checking out documents on the web client?

Hi Gert,

You can add the folder's id in your URL.

http://servername/laserfiche/?id=number

When you check out the document, are you downloading it with the browser? Or is it an Office document that is being checked out with the Office Plugin?

Hi Brian, it is an office document that is being checked out with the office plugin. We use citrix desktop so we try and route all download or checked out documents to a certain folder.

Any feedback on this would be appreciated.

I would also be interested in an answer to this question. We also use the Office plugin. We would prefer that documents not get checked out to the C drive user temp folder. @████████ do you have any suggestions here? Anyone?

@████████, my VAR reached out to LF support and got this answer:

For the Checkout path, I reached out to support and they said: In the Web Client, the checked out document should automatically be downloaded to the path the browser has set for downloads. Usually by default, that’s the Downloads folder (C:\User\Downloads), but most browsers let you change this setting in the browser itself. Office documents checked out with the Office Plugin will go to a particular location (C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Laserfiche\LFOfficePlugin) that cannot be modified.

MS Office documents checked out from Web Client are saved under folder "%localappdata%\Laserfiche\LFOfficePlugin". This location cannot be changed.
