I am trying to create a search query, that seems simple. 

Allow the user to do a search on one or as many fields as they would like. If the user enters several criteria, I would want the results to reflect only the criteria entered. 

The post below was very helpful and worked for me but when I do a simple search in one field I cannot get results.

I am really asking for more documentation or other real world examples that I can use to learn.
