Question

conditionally load next task

asked on October 15, 2020 Show version history

Hi,

is there a way to take this

and make it conditional on something? Like,

  • if the next task is going to be A, I want to load it,
  • but if it's B, I don't want to load it

?

Thanks all

Oh, right; I'm using: Laserfiche Forms Professional Version 10.4.1.164

What about if you put a 1 minute timer between Schedule and Wait Until Meeting Date? This should cause Forms to realize it shouldn't wait for that one. If not, try a 5 minute timer.

Conditionally load next task is not supported, can you share what's the use case of this functionality?

Sure, here's a representative diagram

If a user takes the immediate action route, I'd like the task to load immediately.
If the user sets the MeetingDate, I don't want Wait Until {MeetingDate} to load immediately.

The idea behind that Wait Until {/MeetingDate} bit is that if I just use a timer event, there's no way to recover it if we need to make a change. In the diagram avove, the User is supposed to let that task get interrupted if no rescheduling is needed. Thus, we have a task where a user is assigned but we don't want them to do it immediately.
