Question

Forms Portal in DMZ

asked on October 6, 2020

We have a client with 2x Forms server in the DMZ authenticating through an external STS, which allows internal user to login and access through the Internet while outside of the company's network. The client would also like to purchase Forms portal license to allow public form submission without login. Base on their existing infrastructure, would like to ask if the client can simply purchase 2x Forms portal licenses, upgrade the existing Forms servers and public users can already access and submit forms, while the internal users will still have to login to access any Forms that has not been made public. Thanks

Hi Wai,

I think I understand your question.

You can put a forms portal license on an existing forms server, as you define in the process options of the business process if you want this form to be accessed via anonymous logons. All other forms will continue to provide a login in the same way as they do currently.

Hope this helps!

Chris is correct. You can purchase two individual Forms Portal licenses (or an Enterprise Forms Portal license with unlimited instances) and apply them to the two existing Forms servers.
