Question

Workflow Error [9015] and [9016]

asked on October 2, 2020

Hi,

I have a workflow that is designed to import pdf documents from folder on a server to Laserfiche.

The workflow has a running rule enabled. The running rule specifies the workflow to run once the following conditions are satisfied

  • Event Type: Entry Created
  • Entry Type = Document
  • Document extension = pdf
  • Entry Path starts with: [the path]

Here are the steps of the Workflow:

  1. Connects to specific data source
  2. Queries the data from the data source and returns all rows in the results
  3. Assigns specific template
  4. Assigns field values from the data source
  5. Routes the entries to a designated folder
  6. Renames all entries

The workflow was created several years ago and it was working fine until it stopped suddenly.

I retrieved the following errors from the error logs

  • Template not found [9015], the next day
  • Could not find the field specified, or the field is not part of the specified template. [9016]

The template exists and no changes were done to the workflow at all. I would appreciate any help on this issue. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Wissam

In both cases, the error indicates that Workflow could not find the template or the field in the target repository by name or by ID. Assuming they do exist, the other possibility is that Workflow can't see them because of template/field security.

It's probably better to have your solution provider take this up with Tech Support so we can take a closer look.

Does the user specified in the connection profile for this Workflow definition have enough rights to read and edit the template and field?

Hi Miruna,

I checked and yes, the user has complete rights.

Hi Miruna,

I tried to give the user all the rights available and then attempted to run the workflow again. I got the same errors again. I doubt it is related to user rights / privileges. I appreciate your guidance on this matter. Thanks
