attach electronic file in workflow

I am trying to create a workflow that attaches the PDF document in the workflow to allow for the receiver of the document to make changes to the document if need be. After changes are made, I would want to delete the electronic file. Is there a way to accomplish this in the workflow?

Question: Where would the PDF file originate? Laserfiche repository or elsewhere?

I don't believe there is a way to generate pages using Workflow. A person would have to go into the repository and run generate pages.

You could have have a scheduled Workflow run after hours to process documents that have pages.

Take a look at this thread regarding how to 'remove the electronic file' using Workflow. There a ton of good info there, but what you need is marked as the answer.
