assign tags conditionally in Quick Fields

Is there a way to conditionally assigne tags with Quick Fields. Everything I see in Answers is from 2015. Do more recent verisions of QF have this functionality? We are trying not to create a separate class for each condition as there are too many permuations of tags that are needed.

Not that I'm aware of, unless you're open to using Quick Fields Scripting. I would typically recommend storing the relevant information to a field and then using Workflow to read the field value and assign the tag accordingly.
