Hello,
New solution provider here. Our company has a custom software software suite that we sell to grain elevators, and we have a super simple integration we do with certain PDFs where our custom software pushes PDFs to a location on the network where Import Agent grabs it, and then Workflow reads PDF metadata and fills out field values for us. We typically deploy a dedicated Laserfiche Windows machine where we install almost all Laserfiche applications. Our custom in-house software runs on Linux machines.
So, with Laserfiche Cloud, we'd like to avoid deploying a Windows machine dedicated to Import Agent (since there wouldn't be any other on-prem Laserfiche software). However, since most of our customer base has purely Linux machines running (besides client PCs), we don't really have a great place to install Import Agent. Is there a way Laserfiche Cloud can go out and look for documents somewhere, or some way we can push documents to a cloud repository?
We'll figure out a different way to get the metadata in Cloud since Process Automation doesn't currently have the "Read PDF Metadata" activity. But getting the documents into the repository is what we want to get figured out first.
Thanks!
