Metadata: New List Entry not showing when Field is selected in Template

asked on August 28, 2020

Hello,

Customer has a Field in a Template that is a List view.

They added a new Entry to the Field, but when they go to pull up the Template and select the Metadata Field, the new entry is not showing in the List view.

The user is CreatorOwner and is also listed for the Field and Template to have Full Rights.

I am not sure where else to check.

Appreciate any feedback,

Jeff Curtis

Hi Jeff,

Is this a standalone list field where the values are manually set via the Administration Console, or is this field configured as a dynamic field that's linked to a column in an external table?

Also, is the user using the [Settings]CacheFieldValues attribute and has it set to "true"? If so, then that would require the user to completely close out of all client instances and then re-login. See this page for more information about the attribute.

Hello Alex,

This is a standalone list field.

They set this field using the Web Client->Administration Console.

Not sure where to check for [Settings]CacheFieldValues attribute. I believe this would be in the user's attributes correct?

Thanks Again,

Jeff Curtis

Hello Alex,

I had the customer confirm that they have logged out of all LF instances and back in and still not able to see the added list entry.

Thanks,

Hi Jeff,

Please open a support case regarding this matter. It'd be helpful to know if this issue occurs in the web client, Windows client, or both. If you could also export the template object as an xml file and provide that with the case, that'd be appreciated.

Regards

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the reply. I am reaching out to the customer to gather some version information and an export of the template object as well.
