When setting the Forms configuration to use LFDS authentication it shows the 'Active Directory domain controller' field. Is this a mistake? In the Help file it only talks about this field being used for LF Server authentication so users don't have to type in their domain when logging in.

This is added in Forms 10.4.4 in order to support synchronizing Windows accounts from different domains. that the Forms server is in. By default you can leave it empty as Forms can synchronize from the domain the machine is in.
What does this do exactly when you are already using LFDS authentication?
Forms need to talk to the Active Directory Server to check which Windows users are member of a Windows group then decide whether a Windows user is member of a LFDS group that is allowed to access Forms when only the Windows group is added as member of the LFDS group. Such information is not provided by LFDS.
Can we use this to allow users to enter their PQ Username instead of their FQ Username? We were able to do this with past Avante systems and it is super helpful because many users do not know their domain name and/or where the backslash character can be found on their mobile device or keyboard.
