edit multiple file names

trying to update the file names on out account. Need to down load the files to a PDF so they can be emailed.

some files begin with a date eg. 08/22/2019.... when trying to covert to PDF the beginning date drops off. The "/" is causing this. There are several hundred files, so to change them all individually would be very difficult and tedious process. Running on windows 7.

Is there a way to change all the file names and eliminate the "/".

Exporting from Laserfiche converts characters not supported in Windows file names to underscores. What error are you getting? Are you using the desktop or the web client? Which version?

For your original question, you can use either Workflow or a script to replace slashes in file names.

not really getting an error message.

here is an example of what is going on.

sample file name on Laserfische.....

05/17/07 Cash Receipts Lists

when i try to print/save to PDF, so I can send the file

shows this in the save window / files name.

This is not good as there are several dates that would have the same title. If there was only a few, then I could change by hand. However, there are a few thousand files.
