PDF documents flipped backwards when converted to TIFF images

We use Laserfiche Forms to accept user uploads of PDF documents, and have our service account running Forms set to use [SETTINGS]ImportPDFPages = Yes. Recently, I've noted that the "Image" portion of several of these documents is backwards. The PDF file attachment looks fine, but the TIFF image is an exact mirror.

I haven't been able to replicate the issue personally.

Any ideas as to what is going on here?

There are a known issue for generating pages from pdf for some pdf files that the content will be displayed as mirror, this can always be reproduced with the source pdf file. Maybe you can double check with all the related pdf files and see whether you can reproduce it.

What version of Forms are you using? You can't reproduce with same pdf file？

Re-uploading the same PDF file in the same Forms process does not reproduce the mirror effect when I personally upload. We're on Forms v 10.4.1.172

Thank you. I was able to reproduce the issue on my second attempt. I must have mixed something up the first time around.

Is there a way to automatically detect when this happens to uploaded PDF files? Or, is there a different method of generating a TIFF image from the PDF, that doesn't have this issue?

You can check if the image can be generated correctly if you import the pdf from Client directly and the "import monochrome images" option is checked.

When I import the PDF document using File > Import, or when I drag and drop the PDF into the repository, the image is mirrored.

Please open a support case with your Solution Provider and provide the pdf files you are using, this will help us make sure your files will be tested when we fix the known issue.

It is a known bug, the workaround is to enable "Import monochrome images" as the screenshot I shared before.
