Kofax VRS not saving

I am using Kofax VRS and when I change the driver settings, the settings are only holding during the current scan session.  Once I exit scanning and come back in, the driver settings revert back to the original settings (which aren't the greatest).

 I attempted to change the Scanner Option-->Advanced settings (ie:  clarity, noise, skew, blank page).  When I scanned after changing some settings, the quality was better but now I get an error message "Out of Paper -- CDT009-Load more to continue".  

And when I close our the scanner window and go to scan again the settings didn't save.

How can I fix this?

Hi Rita,

 

I've seen error messages like this before, when the logged on user isn't a local admin on the scanning workstation. Can you try making the scanning user a local admin temporarily to see if that resolves the issue? At least you'll know where to start looking.
