Fill PDF- Attachment Not Updating in Workflow

asked on July 29, 2020

1. Can't figure out where exactly in the workflow this older pdf is called

2. Even when I replace the old file, it isn't reflected.

I'm using workflow designer and using the fill pdf field several times throughout my workflow. I'm new to using workflow and did not create this specific workflow either. In the workflow admin console, I can see attached objects and see the old pdf that it is referencing to fill the form (external objects & see attachments). I can't specifically figure out where this old pdf is actually being called in my workflow- so I can't delete it.

So, I right clicked to edit that attachment in console & chose to replace it with the updated pdf. In the actual workflow, the updated pdf looks correct. However, when triggering the workflow, it seems to continue to call the prior form even though I've replaced the pdf with an updated one.

How do I make the updated form be the form that is filled in?

Exactly what Chad said, we typically will keep our fillable pdf in the repository so you'd update that here:

The file your replacing is just a reference template for developing the workflow, it allows workflow to show all the fields in the fillable PDF interface.

The actual file your filling, when the workflow runs, is shown at the bottom of the Fill PDF activity configuration on the right. It will say which Entry is selected for fill, and likely references a previous activity output in the flow.

You just need to update that file as well, which either comes from a Windows Server or the Repository.

Thank you both.  That was what we needed.
