Question

Sending Form to a Non-User

asked on July 29, 2020

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a form for our clients for them to fill in but my understanding that Laserfiche don't send forms to non-users.

Basically what I'm trying to achieve is that one of my users will pre-fill some information on the LF form and when they submit it, my client will receive a form pre-populated with that information and they will populate the rest of the fields.

We are using 10.2.

Is there anyway to achieve this? Please help me I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you very much!

Variables can be passed through via the forms URL, for example if you have a simple form called "First Name Form" that just captures someones first name, we can pass that information in via the URL.

http://servername/Forms/FirstNameForm?FirstName="Justin"

Sending the client an email with this link in it will allow them to fill out a form that has some information pre-filled.

This link should provide a bit more information: https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/english/docs/Subsystems/ProcessAutomation/Content/Forms-Current/populating-a-form-with-url-parameters.htm

Also along with Michaels answer, you will need the Public Portal in order to allow non licensed users to submit forms.

Thank you both for your prompt answers. I believe we already have the public portal. Here is the image of Access Rights. Or is it something different?

Will do some testing to figure out the URL side of it too. Again thank you very much guys!

You're welcome. The URL for your form should be in the Process Options under the title in the upper left.

You should be able to do it using the Laserfiche Forms Public Portal.
