For our new employee form, I would like to set up a reminder sent to the tech team to activate the AD account and such on the date listed in the form. However, I don't want to interrupt to rest of the workflow while we wait for that date. Often times we get this form 2 weeks in advance.

Here's the current flow. Would that parallel gateway work? I have it set to send an email to our helpdesk and the day before the start date of the new employee. 

Never messed with parallel's so my fear is if the main process ends, this won't trigger.
