Access Denied error when inserting using Connector

asked on July 22, 2020

I've been trying to troubleshoot a problem with inserting documents a user is having. I can use the Connector profile to insert, but when the user tries, he gets the error below. His rights to the Laserfiche destination folder are OK - I've created the same document with the same template and fields in the same folder using his credentials. Can anybody advise what might be the issue?

Error occurred when importing "test.txt"
Multistatus response.
Access denied. [9013]

Total: 1 of 1 file failed to import.

Confirm the user also has content modification rights. Connector often actually operates by creating the document shell first, and then fill in information (including the actual content being imported) afterwards.

Thanks Justin - I've checked and the user does have "modify contents" rights to the folder. Is there anything else that might be causing the problem?

I should say, when the user selects the document to insert in Connector, the document appears in Laserfiche with the Locked sysmbol, and then dissappears after a few seconds when the user gets the "access denied" message

Hrm, that behavior makes me definitely think it's right related, but sounds like it might be something more obscure if it wasn't modify contents. You might want to check volume access rights, or even just what volume the Connector script is trying to import the new document as. It does seem like the issue is in actually trying to add the content itself, not the connection or basic functionality given the document shell shows up.
