Question

Web Services "There are no items to display."

asked on July 16, 2020

When I open the Workflow Admin Console 10.4 and drill down to External Objects > Web Services, in the TEST system, I see the service. However, for the production (PROD) system, I see "There are no items to display." No worries, I'll create it. I do so for PROD, successfully test the URL, and click OK. I then receive an error:  "A web service already exists with the name 'Laserfiche Forms SVC'". I've never had an issue before. Also, my coworker does see the service with no issues.

The good thing, running processes are not having any issues ... just me! I was just in the system 3 days agao with no issues. Last night was "patch night" here for IS/IT but we've had many of those with no issues. Any ideas?

In the Workflow Admin Console under Permissions and Rights. If you select a user, you'll get options to set rights on individual objects both in the right pane and in the context menu.

It sounds like your workflow server has security set for external services. And administrator will have to give you rights to it.

Where are rights given to the Web Service?

I had obviously lost my rights (not sure why) and couldn't fix it myself. Another Admin changed my permissions and now I'm back! Thank you.
