Can you describe what use cases you have that require features like Laserfiche Plus?

We have found that often a simple folder download with an optional metadata report can address the use case.

Hi Samuel. Digging up an old thread here - but we've just been asked about 'Legal Surfacing' of documents; which is what Plus used to be very good at. The lightweight UI for search/viewing etc was the main draw-card.

While the exported Zip file plus metadata is a 'workaround' - the lack of UI/search and retention of folder structure is the main problem (as well as the fact it's a Zip file that needs further manipulation).

Is there any likely coming tool that may resolve that?

Hi Duncan,

There is no coming tool that's a like-for-like replacement for Laserfiche Plus.

A modern approach could be something like creating a new repository for legal discovery, exporting the document set as a briefcase (which preserves folder structure and metadata), having a public facing authenticated (with MFA) WebLink instance to access that repository, and giving the relevant parties access. If you need to explicitly hand over all the in-scope files, you can still do that with a zip+metadata export so they have their own copy and can (if they want to) use it to verify that everything in-scope is present in the discovery repo.

I Need to browse the folders offline with same structure as laserfiche client including metadata details.

like for example showing the same view of laserfiche client but offline.

Okay, sounds like the use case is "offline access".

I recommend trying the Viewing Offline Documents and Folders functionality of the Laserfiche App (Android, iOS, Windows 10). It will give you a view similar to the normal Laserfiche client with folder structure, metadata, etc.

You can read more about the Laserfiche App in general here.
