Feature Request: Auto Update Instance History in Monitor

asked on July 8, 2020

When I am doing testing of a Forms process I usually have a tab open to Monitor and have the instance History pulled up so I can verify that the flow is working as expected. It would be nice if the History tab updated automatically as the instance moves through the process. I currently am pressing F5 to refresh the page.

We can look at hooking this into the notification service (the same thing that auto-updates the inbox). When we previously looked into this, it was incredibly expensive for active systems and if many instances are going on at once, the monitor page would be a mess with things constantly jumping to the top as most recently active.

Jared,

I can see the issue with that. Maybe if it were able to be updated similar to the recent updates with the web client where it shows the refresh button in the toolbar and puts a red dot so you know that an update may be necessary? That way it is not constantly updating on its own and things jumping all over the page.

Yea, that's a better solution. Instead of needing a full page refresh, we could do a listing refresh button.
