Configure SMTP Server Settings in Laserfiche Cloud

Good morning,

In the on prem version of Laserfiche, we have been able to easily configure our SMTP server settings to handle outgoing mail - we prefer to send automatically generated emails in workflow from specific mailboxes rather than the generic LF one.

Does this functionality exist in the Cloud version yet? We have a few processes we're working on where this would be very handy. I can find, easily, in WF where you can change the "Reply To" address, which is helpful, but we'd prefer the email come from, say, a member of office staff vs. "Laserfiche Notifications."

Laserfiche Cloud does not currently allow for custom SMTP servers.

Hi Miruna,

I wasn't aware that setting up an SMTP connection wasn't a feature.  Is this feature on the horizon? 

As you can understand, If users are using LF Cloud to manage customer accounts/contracts/etc and send notifications to clients via Cloud, the emails don't originate from the company domain as they originate from a totally different company they have no connection with which results in emails entering their spam folder or simply being deleted.

It is not on the to-do list for the near future.

That’s a shame.  We’ll have to look at an alternative product for our clients who are moving to cloud.

Hi Miruna,

I can understand why you would not allow custom SMTP server; but is there at least a way (or going to be a way) to indicate the outgoing email "reply to" address?

Workflow's email activity has a reply-to property, business processes do not. We'll look into adding it to the email action in business processes too.

Reply-to is now available in business processes as well.

Is changing the name from "Laserfiche Notification" to something else?  Is this yet on the roadmap?

If not, is it possible to integrate Cloud with a third party email app?
