Question

Stamp needs to be applied to all pages of a document at once

asked on June 25, 2020

If a user needs to apply the same stamp to all pages of a document at once, what is the easiest way to accomplish that?  As of now they manually stamp each page, but would like to save some time if possible.

Hi Dillan,

You should be able to create a workflow business process that applies a stamp to each page in the same location. The user would then start the business process on the entry in the repository and the workflow would do the rest.

The workflow would likely need to be a loop for each page in the entry, applying the stamp to the page on each loop iteration.

How would a user initiate that type of workflow?  Or would it just be set to run daily on a certain folder?  Since the user files these documents in various folders throughout the day, would it be even possible for the workflow to check if it is a new document first?  I have limited experience with workflow, is there a good example somewhere?

In the web client you can right click on the file > Start Business Process > and then select the process from the list:

(I don't have any at the moment, but they would show up there.)

Similarly with the Windows client, right click > Start Business Process ... > choose it from the dialog box that appears:

This may work, can you select multiple documents at once, then run a business process on all of them?

You can.
