Today, June 25th 2020, Laserfiche announces the End-of-Life for Laserfiche eCopy Connector. Our alliance partner, Software Connections, who manufacturers eCopy Connector announced they are discontinuing new orders and new support contracts immediately. Subsequently, we are no longer accepting new orders or new support contracts. Customers with active LSAP will continue to receive support as outlined in the table below. No expansion orders or LSAP renewal orders will be processed.

To clarify, this announcement is only for the hardware connector and is not related to Laserfiche Connector. There are no plans to announce an end-of-life for Laserfiche Connector.

Product Migration Options

The product Laserfiche eCopy Connector currently provides a connecting interface for hardware capture devices and Laserfiche. It directly and securely scans into the Laserfiche repository from the interface of the copier device. Metadata and document names can be applied during the scanning process from the device.

Roughly less than 1% of Laserfiche customers are using the Laserfiche eCopy Connector product. Should you choose to transition to a different product, you gain the benefits of a broader community and more in-depth expertise from Laserfiche, Solution Providers and the wider Laserfiche community.

Please consult with your Solution Provider when considering an alternative option. They can assist with assuring you have the appropriate migration plan in place to smoothly transition. There are several options to consider when scanning to Laserfiche. Laserfiche Scanning and Laserfiche Quick Fields provide software interfaces for scanning. For performing scanning from the device's screen, there are other products that offer similar solutions, including:

Bridge to Laserfiche®

Bridge to Laserfiche works with Xerox® ConnectKey® devices to quickly and securely scan and process documents, helping you work smarter and more.

Customers with current LSAP may apply credit towards a purchase of additional Laserfiche product, such as Laserfiche Full Named Users. An exception of downgrades in total LSAP are allowed in the case that a customer wants to drop LSAP of the discontinued product without purchasing additional product.
