Question

Configuring Distributed Computing Cluster Scheduler

asked on June 24, 2020

Hello, I am running into an issue in Workflow. I want to use the "Schedule OCR" task but I have never configured the "Distributed Computing Cluster Scheduler" even when I try to use configured it, I get the this error:

"Could not connect to the scheduler. Ensure the following: (1) the host name and port are correct, (2) the scheduler node is on, and (3) the firewall is not blocking the connection. [0724-WF1]"

I know 1 and 3 is not the problem but I am not sure what 2 means. I trying to use the server that host Laserfiche on our organization.

Any suggestions?

So if you go into your DCC Admin Console, have you added your machine(s) for the OCR? I believe when adding the machines it asks if the machine is a scheduler.

If you have added your machine(s) you can check to see if they are a scheduler by selecting them, and then selecting the information tab in the center pane.

Hi Drew, thank you for replying.

After reading your post, I went to the into the DCC Admin Console but there are no machines added there. I tried to register but the Laserfiche DCC Service has not even being installed.

I have some work to do with my sysadmin as I don't usually handle the installation on the server.

Thank you for the input,

No problem.  Happy to help.  It may even be when the DCC is installed that you designate a machine as a scheduler or a worker.  I'm trying to remember but it's been a white since I configured the DCC on my system.

Have you been able to figure out this "Host:" in the Distributed Computing Cluster Scheduler? I am having the same issue.
