Is it possible to have too many templates in Laserfiche?

Is there a recommendation on managing the number of templates in Laserfiche?  Is there a reason not to have as many as we want or think we need?  We currently have about 60 (should I be embarrassed by that?).  Although not all are active, and some have been used for testing but I don't want to delete them yet.

I have more than twice as many templates.  As the KB shows the technical limit is huge.  However the user experience gets unwieldy as that list grows.  I spare my users by locking down security to only the templates they need.  At worst each user sees only 10-15 templates.
