MS Office Online Server for Co-Authoring Documents using O365

asked on June 3, 2020

Hello,

Checking to see if anyone knows when installing the Office Online Server, should this be done on a separate server then the LF Server, where Web Client or any LF Server installs?

I looked in LF Admin guide for installing/configuring LF Integration with O365, but it does not stipulate where this install should be done:

https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/10/en-us/administration/Default.htm#../Subsystems/Integrations/Content/Office%20Online%20Server%20Deployment.htm

I have a customer who is looking to install this and they have a VM with 8Gb of Memory, that typically uses 6Gb of the Memory on a daily basis.

I see the Office Online Server needs 2Gb of Memory.

Appreciate the feedback,

Jeff Curtis

I have since learned that you need a separate server dedicated to MS Office Online and LF Co-Auth application.
