Question

can't change password

asked on May 29, 2020 Show version history

I have a read-only user attempting to change password under My Weblink/Connection Information.

Receives the following message:

Sign in failed because the number of sessions has reached the licensed limit, or the user account has reached its session limit, or no named user license has been allocated to the user account. [9030]

There is NO checkmark on "User cannot change password" in his properties.

Can someone help me with this problem?  Thanks in advance!

Which version of Weblink do you have? I was told in our version (9) this option is not available.  We have had the exact same issue for over a year. Therefore we need to upgrade. Supposedly the newer version 10 and up should allow read only users to change passwords. I have been looking for that feature in the white papers and have not found it yet.

We are having the same problem.

1.  We are on Weblink 10.2

2.  The user is a Laserfiche Repository User

3.  Logging in using credentials

4.  User can change password

Still I get the error message:

Sign in failed because the number of sessions has reached the licensed limit, or the user account has reached its session limit, or no named user license has been allocated to the user account. [9030]

Thanks.

Hello Janice,

Were you able to resolve this issue?

We have a customer on WL 10.1.0 that is having the same issue.

Thanks,
Jeff Curtis

After our upgrade I have found that it is not an option to be able to change a password as a view only user on Weblink. We are on Weblink 10.2
